Insurance

While everybody insures their home, their home and even their furniture, it still amazes us how most people fail to insure their income or their life.

Did you know you can insure your income so that if you can’t work due to illness or injury, you will still be paid enough to cover your bills, pay your mortgage and cover any essentials? Income Protection insurance is often required if you work in the mining or building industry, but it makes a lot of sense no matter your occupation, and it’s far more affordable than you probably think, especially with tax deductible premiums.

With a business, it’s also important to think about the other types of insurance. Life insurance will provide your family with a lump sum of money to cover funeral expenses, pay out the mortgage and cover any future expenses. Trauma insurance will pay you a lump sum if you suffer from a serious illness; it allows you to pay off your debt and any medical bills so you don’t have to worry about financial issues as you recover. Finally, TPD insurance will pay a lump sum if you suffer from a total and permanent disablement that prevents you from working. Once again, this money can be used to cover your medical bills, pay off your debt and generally give you a helping hand.

Super

Now that you’re looking forward to retirement the financial strategies you use to prepare for retirement become much more important. We can ensure that all your super funds are consolidated into one fund that will provide you with the best investment returns and strategy for you. We can also help you look at your contributions and salary sacrificing.

Investment

Investment is an important tool to get ahead. An investment plan is the key to making your money work harder for you. Why would you leave it sitting in a bank account when you know your money could be earning you returns?

Our clients understand managed funds and how their investment strategy is working for them. We talk to them about the pros and cons of investing in managed funds, property or direct shares and review their portfolio regularly to ensure everything is on the right track.

General Advice

A financial adviser isn’t a salesperson; they are just that, an adviser. We can give you general advice to help you make important decisions regarding selling your house or estate planning. Our Financial Coaching sessions are personal one-on-one meetings with an adviser to give you the basic information you need to know and you can ask as many questions as you like. These can be purchased as gift vouchers as well, if you know someone else that could do with some advice.

For more information see the Financial Coaching section with some topics that may interest you.
